World Health Day 2014 focuses on spreading awareness on vector-borne diseases. Diseases spread by vectors (small organisms like mosquitoes, bedbugs, sandflies etc) kill a million people each year. It just takes one bite to infect a person, and more than half of the world’s population is at risk.
Closer to home in Malaysia, we are battling with an alarming number of dengue cases this year. Instead of kow-towing to the risk without a fight, you can do your part by learning how to stop the dengue menace. It’s in your hands.
