Recipe: Savoury Seeds Salad Dressing (Raw Food Diet)

Yields

2 cups

Ingredients A

½ cup pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
1 cup filtered water
2 cloves garlic

Ingredients B

¼ cup fresh orange juice
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
3 tbsp tamari (note: Tamari is a gluten-free, naturally brewed Japanese soy sauce)
3 tbsp ground flaxseeds (grind flaxseeds using grinder/blender into fine texture)
1 tsp powdered mustard
½ tsp dried basil
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp dried thyme

Method

  1. Blend ingredients A in a power blender until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add ingredients B and process again until well combined.
  3. Add water if dressing is too thick.
  4. Add to your salad and serve. You can also dip your favourite raw crackers into this flavourful dressing!

Top tip: Be adventurous and explore with different seeds and a variety of herbs / seasonings till you find your favourite!
